Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) has partnered with Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg for a decade to build homes for neighbors in need. Breaking ground on their 10th home together are (from left with shovels) NNS Vice President of Operations Danny Hunley, Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority Executive Director Karen Wilds, Newport News City Councilwoman Tina L. Vick, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg Board President Alexis Swann, NNS Vice President of Internal Audits Dwayne Blake and President of United Steelworkers Local 8888 Arnold Outlaw, as well as recipients of other NNS-built Habitat for Humanity homes.
