Every year thousands of HII employees pledge their individual time and money to serve their local communities. As a company, HII views corporate citizenship as an opportunity to enrich the workforce and the cities they call home through educational scholarships, positive environmental impact and community giving. In 2017, HII donated nearly $2 million and countless hours to various nonprofit organizations like the United Way, the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics and local food banks.
